Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Pickup On Tonnelle Avenue: Police

A pedestrian who was struck by a pickup truck early Monday, Jan. 9 in North Bergen has died, police said.

The 55-year-old man was crossing Tonnelle Avenue when he was struck by a 2009 Dodge Pick-up truck in the northbound left lane just after 6:30 a.m., North Bergen Police Lt. Bronson Jusino said.

The man was taken to Jersey City Medical center and pronounced dead.

The roadway was reopened at 8:05 a.m.
